There used to be a time when I thought I’d never shoot weddings. The pressure & responsibility seemed overwhelming. Speaking to all my photographer friends, this seems to be a pretty common sentiment. But then, as is also common, some twist of circumstance gets us shooting that first one. And from then, we’re past the point of no return – we’re hooked.

Weddings are the perfect storm of emotions – anticipation, a little anxiety, joy, elation, contentment, love. Liv & Ash’s wedding ran the full spectrum of these and then some. It was everything there is to love not just about weddings, but about marriage as well. The bond that these legends share is painfully obvious to everyone around them, and was only too fun to shoot on the day. Add in a super cute country chapel, a gorgeous family property in the Hunter Valley and you start wondering how you ever wanted to photograph anything else.
