Back before I started photographing weddings, I held a misconception that all weddings were pretty similar. A white dress, a father walking the bride down a church aisle, a team of groomsmen and bridesmaids at the ready. Rounds of speeches, a bouquet toss…you know the story. With each extra wedding that I photograph now, it is a refreshing reminder of just how wrong I was, and how each wedding is a unique representation of the couple and their values. Right from our first meeting I knew James and Bec’s wedding was going to be something special, and it didn’t disappoint.
They saw each other throughout the morning – James popping his head in between adjusting the final touches, and Bec keeping an eye on the ceremony site from her window.
