Georgina & Andrew ~ Merewether Surfhouse

Georgina & Andrew ~ Merewether Surfhouse

Once again, I had the chance to second shoot for the amazing Kristy Bradford at Georgina & Andrew’s beautiful Newcastle wedding. For those of you who may be unaware, second shooting involves supporting the primary photographer through the day – acting as a second pair of eyes and attempting to cover whatever angle they are not. I love second shooting as it lets me push myself a little more away from the ‘safe shot’, as well as getting to hang out with other great photographers!

Before the day, Kristy had described Georgina & Andrew to me as ‘seriously the loveliest couple,’ and I’d be hard pressed to disagree. Never before have I been offered such a selection of traditional Greek sweets – and then checked if I wanted some more several times through the day, and again before letting me leave! My first Greek Orthodox ceremony was a visual delight with incredibly detailed decorations and rituals – check that chandelier! As the icing on the cake, we were treated to one of the most intense sunsets I’ve ever seen. In the centre of it all was the love between Georgie and Andy – as you can see in the image above, they are inseparable.
