I've written at pretty extensive length before about how I love photographing within the same family or friend circle multiple times. Most of my job has very little to do with operating the camera, and very much to do with gaining people's trust and allowing them to feel comfortable around you. When you've already met everyone before, that job is already done - as was the case with Sam & Charlie's wedding at Fingal Bay.
This day was a joy to shoot start to finish. It helped that everything looked absolutely gorgeous, but more than that it was the welcoming atmosphere and general sense that everyone was ready to have a good time! I had already photographed a bunch of guests at this wedding, including Sam's two siblings, hence why I jumped in for one photo right at the end. It always feels like I'm on holiday as soon as I head up to the bay and this was a wedding where everything felt just right ♥
