Although Paul & Lily attended the same school as me back in Gloucester, they were a year below myself and I never really knew them too well. I knew they had colourful hair, but that was about it. This year I’ve gotten to know them a whole lot better. I watched them make the move out of the country and into Newcastle. I had the privilege of sharing some of my favourite spots in town with them for their engagement shoot, and seeing their anticipation for the start of a new chapter of their lives. I was so happy for them when they found a new unit they could make their own. By the time their wedding day arrived, I was stoked. The waiting was over, it was time to party!

They both got ready in town before heading out to the beautiful Hunter Valley Gardens. Their ceremony was short & sweet, but you could still see the knowing glances they gave each other. Nervous, but yet so excited that they were to be husband and wife. We spent the afternoon in the gardens before going back to Memories Function Centre in Wallsend for the reception. If there was one thing I took from that night, it was that I have never seen a bride dance so much in my life. From the minute the music started to when the last of the guests had left, Lily unleashed that nervous energy from earlier in the day. It truly was a sight to see.

It has been really something for me to be a part of their wedding, and to be able to be their photographer. And now, enough with the words, and time to share some of their photos with you.
