There’s been a definite rise in the industry of wedding venues that don’t feel like wedding venues. Weddings that feel like you’re just visiting the couple at their place for the weekend…if their place is a luxurious homestead, with manicured grounds, and happens to have a permanent reception tent set up around the side. Such is the case with Wallalong House, and such was the feeling for Emma & Ben’s wedding. I had already photographed Emma several times before as a bridesmaid. When most couples book me in there’s a degree of not knowing what they’re in for… so it was a relief when Emma knew exactly what she was in for and still chose to invite me along. As it turns out, the bloke she’d chosen to marry is also a bloody legend (and has the best beard I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing). It was a wedding that looked the goods on paper and definitely delivered in person. Feast your eyes on the festivities below.
