Kahlee & Matt’s Magenta Shores wedding was beautiful in all the right places. Stunning flowers (all done by Kahlee’s Mum), a sharp looking bridal party, perfect weather, awesome venue, yada yada yada. As a wedding photographer, it’s easy to let some of these elements blend into the background a little when you see them all the time. At the heart of every wedding are the people, and the people involved are what has kept this day so fresh in my mind, even though it was some time ago now. The warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Kahlee’s Dad looking on towards his daughter, seeing her as a bride for the first time. Matt’s raw emotion seeing Kahlee come down the aisle, the awesome party that their guests created around them, the absolute debauchery that their dancefloor descended into later on. A perfect example of a day built around a serious occasion, without taking things too seriously. This was some of the most fun I’ve had at a wedding, surrounded by people reveling in sheer celebration of their friends.
