I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a long time, along with many others – a stack of Anthony’s family flew all the way from the UK to be there. Newcastle was doing a fine job of making them feel right at home, with some particularly drab weather – only a tiny patch of blue was visible. By the time Lauren arrived for the ceremony (at Longworth House, a favourite of mine), it was pouring. A few minimal stumbles on the vows kept their guests entertained before becoming husband and wife.
In a stroke of luck, the rain disappeared for the perfect length of time to grab a few photos, before heading back to Longworth to get the party started, and party they did. Last time I shot there we had a gatecrashing panda bear, this time it was throwing back jars of honey and dancing far into the night (courtesy of the always awesome XYDJ).
For this wedding, one in a million doesn’t even come close.
Lauren & Anthony.
