Erin & Dan ~ Merewether Baths

Erin & Dan ~ Merewether Baths

Shooting around the beaches and baths of Newcastle has become pretty common for me – it is easy to take them for granted when you see them everyday, but they really are spectacular. When Erin & Dan suggested Merewether baths as the location for their pre-wedding shots, I was only too quick to confirm. When they suggested some ‘water shots’ I thought it could be fun, but wasn’t quite sure what to expect. ‘Water shots’ could mean anything from having the water in the background while they stood up in the carpark, to full-on submerging themselves into it. As soon as I met them and we started shooting, it quickly became obvious which type of couple they would be.

The energy and enthusiasm was nonstop. The overcast weather meant we had the place almost to ourselves. Dan even saved me from cracking my usual lame jokes by pulling out his Blue Steel© shot a few times. A little later, we moved on to Newcastle baths. By this stage there was no doubt on the water question, and I could barely keep them out of it until we were ready.

I had an awesome time shooting and a tough time selecting the best few images for the blog here. I can’t wait for their wedding in October.
