Where to start. I have known Ben & Nadine for quite a while now, and was extremely happy to accept when they asked me to cover their wedding. Their pre-wedding session was a load of fun, and so I knew their wedding day would be the same, but cranked into a whole new level of excitement. With the ceremony at the beautiful St. James’ Church in Morpeth, to the reception at the Sebel Kirkton Park in the Hunter Valley, they had planned an amazing day that I was only too happy to capture.
In some sort of miracle for an Easter weekend, it didn’t rain and the weather was just perfect. Nadine looked stunning from start to finish, and as you can see, it was hard to wipe the smile off Ben’s face – not that anyone was trying. Being witness to the range of emotions throughout the day never gets old, and there was definitely plenty of that on display. It was one of those days where everything worked just as it should – including the Hummer driver, who was only too happy to oblige when I asked him to cut off the driveway of the Sebel for a bridal party shot.
It was definitely one of my favourite weddings so far. I find myself using the phrase “I can’t wait” a lot in this job, but it’s true – I can’t wait to put their album together and see the images in print. Enough with words, though – I’ll leave you to their amazing slideshow. Until next time…
